Walking through the streets of Mexico felt like stepping into another version of myself. From speaking Spanish with locals to trying tamales meticulously wrapped by kind middle-aged women, I was not a stranger to this place, nor to the people who called me mija. And although this type of connection could not be transcribed onto paper, that did not stop me from trying. That said, I hope you can walk with me through lines of poetry and sketches drawn with a heart of ink.
